. These are scholarships that do not come from a college or university. They are offered by big and small, national, regional and local organizations that each have their own criteria for winning.
While many of you may have heard of the big scholarships: Gates, Coca Cola, Jackie Robinson, Jack Kent Cooke, There are many more scholarships from organizations in your own city or neighborhood that are overlooked because they do not have the budget to advertise.
Local and regional outside scholarships are your best bet. The big national scholarships are options too, but you will have better chances with local and regional organizations.
When looking for outside scholarships start on Fastweb, Unigo, Scholarships.com, and https://www.pathwaystoscience.org/

A scholarship organization gave tips to the applicants and said they should try to apply for 100 outside scholarships between now and May 1, 2020. Do 5-10 a week.
